Pre-Installation

Dapper
Desk was programmed using PHP and MySQL. To use
it requires that PHP
and MySQL be
installed on your web server. Dapper Desk has
been installed and tested on Linux, Windows and
Solaris web servers. It will also work fine on
other servers as long as your server has PHP and
MySQL properly installed.

Additional Software
The following software is normally installed on many web servers and you
will not have to worry about it. This software is required for Dapper
Desk to operate properly. If this software is not installed on your
web server, you will need to install it before Dapper Desk will work properly.
It is your responsibility to make sure this software is installed and
working properly. Installation of the following software is not
included in the price of Dapper Desk.
Dapper Desk requires that you have
PHP and MySQL pre-installed. Installation of PHP and MySQL is not included
in the price of Dapper Desk. We will install PHP 5 and MySQL
only on your Linux or Windows web server at your request. There
is an additional cost for this service (see below).
PHP 4 or PHP 5 installed on your server
configured with the following PHP features enabled:
-- BCMATH Enabled
-- IMAP Enabled
-- MySQL Enabled
-- Magic Quotes Set To "On"
-- Register Globals Set To "On"
-- Safe Mode Set To "On"
-- Error Reporting Set to "E_Error" in php.ini
-- SMTP/Sendmail Configured For Your Server In php.ini (Useful but not required)
MySQL
-- MySQL 4 and above (MySQL 5 Recommended)
-- Installation requires ability to create database and grant permissions
in MySQL
Email Software
-- POP Email Software (POP Email can be on a different server.)
-- SMTP/Sendmail Email Software (May be on a different server).

Are We Doing Your Installation?
If we will do your install, we need the following access.
-- FTP Access (Optional)
-- MySQL Permissions to create a database and grant permissions
-- Web access to the uploaded Dapper Desk web files
If you want us to do the PHP and MySQL install for you (Additional Fee, See Below), then you may choose that option at the time of order. In this instance, we will need the following;
-- Root Access Via SSH (Terminal Services for Windows Installs)
-- Root Install Directory For Dapper Desk Web Files
-- Access Enabled To Us If You Have A Firewall
Additional Fees For PHP & MySQL Installations
MySQL Installation: $75.00
PHP Installation: $75.00
Installation of Both: $135.00
Note, if installation of Dapper Desk will be on a shared web server, then contact us to let us know.
